In 2012, CirclesWork! and the Jean Houston Foundation are partnering to launch 300+ Teaching Learning Circles. These face-to-face units of community are the coming together of local Peacemakers to create a united positive shift to a sustainable Circle Culture. Joining in Circle is a way to reveal and develop one’s best self, and to consciously co-create a community of peace, connection and action.

Face-to-face Teaching Learning Circles are encouraged to meet weekly for the first three months. Twice a month, the Circle engages in Teleconference Calls. The two calls serve distinct purposes: one to inspire, and the other to provide practical support. The primary call features an eminent Peacemaker, while the Circle Doctor call connects Teleconference participants directly with Circle experts: Dr. Lauren Jinshil Oliver and Dr. Bonnie Burstein.

CirclesWork! is providing holistic support to Circles registered in the Teleconference. Each Circle is matched with a personal mentor in the form of a Circle Culture Carrier (CCC). A CCC is a person who is available by phone or e-mail at least once weekly to Circle Members to coach and answer questions. On the Circle Doctor call, Circle Members can ask questions and receive immediate expert support.

Circles meet eminent Peacemakers virtually on the Teleconference Call. Featured Speakers bring inspiration from their field of expertise, igniting possibilities for engagement and action. Circles will deepen their own human capacities by engaging in Social Artistry exercises developed by Dr. Jean Houston, and practicing CirclesWork! Tools for Cooperative Work.

A rich array of Circle resources will be available online to emerging Circles. Support materials include: downloadable PDFs, eWorkbooks, instructive videos and inspirational audio. The goal of this Teleconference is to support the launch of your Circle, by linking you with sources of inspiration and educational tools to more deeply connect with your higher self, and others— putting your purpose into action.
